To mark the occasion of Engineer's Day, the student volunteers of heritage club along with the coordinator Dr Gayathri Gopalakrishnan visited Sri M Visheshvaraya Technological Museum, Kasturba Road, Bangalore on 15th September 2018. The objective of this visit was to build a new insight into the young minds with regards to Science and Technology.

The heritage club of SSMRV college conducted an exhibition on the 22nd of march 2018. It was inaugurated by the principal Dr. Anil Kumar. It showcased a collection of coins issued by mughal dynasty, the marathas and Tipu sultan, rare stamps and postcards, original books and jounals published more than 100 years ago, rare estampeze, coins and currency notes of post independent India and other interesting artefacts found by the students of the club on different research expeditions.

Venue: SL Bhatia History of Medicine Museum
The students of the Heritage club visited the SL Bhatia History of Medicine Museum at St. Johns Medical college, Bangalore on the 4th of November 2017. The museum had arranged for a heritage walk for the students led by Professor Mario Vaz of the St. Johns medical college. The visit proved to be a great way to arouse curiosity about the development of modern medicine in the minds of students. The students visited different galleries that showcased a plethora of exhibits on various topics related to development of vaccination, anesthesia and contribution of Indian medicine to the world. The museum provided a whole world of amazement to the students with more than 200 exhibits of photographs and medical instruments used by doctors a century ago. A hundred year old doctors coat and bag, the kit used by midwives caught the attention of students instantly. On the whole, it was a very motivating experience for the students.
